12 Romantic Getaways in Oklahoma
Most people who don’t live in Oklahoma don’t know much about this wonderful state. When most people think of Oklahoma, their minds wander to Texas. However, there’s more to Oklahoma than you think there is.
Hear me out — Oklahoma is full of hidden gems, amazing restaurants, and kind hospitality. I moved out of state a few years ago and I miss Oklahoma quite a bit.
If you’re a couple who likes to explore, there are tons of places for you to do so on your romantic getaway to Oklahoma. If you’re not, that’s okay. You’ll still have a great time in the Sooner State!
1. Shiloh Morning Inn in Ardmore
2179 Ponderosa Road
Ardmore, OK 73401
The Shiloh Morning Inn in Ardmore is definitely one of the most romantic getaways in Oklahoma. My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary here and it was simply magical.
First, the rooms have plush king beds, stocked mini-fridges, and either a hot tub or a whirlpool for two.
Then, there’s the 73-acre property that’s filled with things to do. You and your partner can stroll hand-in-hand on one of the many walking trails, grab a couple of games and movies from the library, or simply spend some quality time together on one of the breezy benches.
And if you really want to take your getaway to a whole new level, you can splurge on the romantic night-in package. This includes chocolate-covered strawberries, a dozen roses, and dinner for two brought to your room. And if you happen to be visiting for your anniversary, they have a special package for that too!
Pro tip: make sure you go to breakfast with an empty stomach! The breakfast is out of this world and I find myself dreaming about it quite often.
2. Lago Vista Bed & Breakfast in Broken Bow
489 Bowfin Lane
Broken Bow, OK 74728
If the Hidden Hills Cabin isn’t for you, but Broken Bow has piqued your interest, you should definitely consider staying at Lago Vista Bed & Breakfast.
Each of the four rooms in this Tuscan-inspired accommodation is thoughtfully put together. You can enjoy the lake views from the private balcony, soak in the bubbling jacuzzi, and snuggle up in front of the crackling fireplace.
And, don’t forget to make use of the shared amenities as well, including the pool, the movie room, and the bar.
While you get to enjoy all these cool features, you’ll also get to enjoy the beauty of the nearby Beavers Bend State Park! While there, you can take a boat out onto Broken Bow Lake, hike one of the handfuls of trails, or even zip line over the treetops!
3. Ambassador Hotel in Tulsa
1234 South Main Street
Tulsa, OK 74119
The Ambassador Hotel Tulsa is an adorable boutique hotel located in the heart of the city. Over the years, it has won a slew of titles, including the best hotel in Oklahoma according to the U.S. News & World Report and the #1 Autograph Hotel according to Marriott guests.
Thanks to its weathered brick exterior and modern interior design, The Ambassador Hotel Tulsa has managed to hit the sweet spot between historic charm and contemporary elegance.
But, the surprising highlight of this accommodation is the food. The Chalkboard, the only dining option on the premises, is a swanky gastropub known for its beef wellington, pork belly BLT sliders, and a fabulous array of fun drinks.
In other words, if you and your partner are foodies, this is one of the best romantic getaways in Oklahoma for the two of you.
The Ambassador Hotel Tulsa also offers a few special packages to increase the romance, including the bed and breakfast package and the luxurious romance package.
But, my personal favorite is the picnic package which comes with a picnic lunch for two, bike rentals, and even a cute picnic blanket that you can keep as a souvenir.

Watson, OK 74963
The River’s Edge Cottages are another fantastic place to stay during one of your romantic getaways in Oklahoma.
Secluded in thriving greenery, this accommodation is perfect if you and your partner are looking for some alone time. As a matter of fact, each of the twelve River’s Edge Cottages is situated to ensure maximum privacy.

Plus, you can book a whole bunch of romantic add-ons, including a couple’s massage, a flower bouquet, and luxury River’s Edge bathrobes.
If you and your partner decide to leave your cabin for a little while, you won’t be disappointed. You can canoe on the river just outside, walk along with one of the marked hiking trails, or enjoy the views from Talimena Scenic Drive.
5. The Skirvin Hilton in Oklahoma City

The A to Z Guest Ranch offers a little something different from the rest of the options on this list of romantic getaways in Oklahoma.
While you will be staying in a secluded cabin in nature, there are a couple of exciting activities to take part in on the property. You can try out mountain horseback trail riding or opt for thrilling ATV trail riding instead.
As for the cabins themselves, they’re already quite romantic with their plush bedding, crackling firepits, and matching his and hers bathrobes.
But then you can take the romance to the next level with the sweethearts get-a-way package, which includes chocolate-dipped cherries, a chilled bottle of champagne, a candle-lit dinner, a two-hour horseback trail ride, and so much more!

Many people think that if you want to enjoy nature, you have to give up some modern luxuries, but that’s simply not the case. The Cedar Rock Inn is a great example of that.
Situated on the breathtaking Redberry Farm, Cedar Rock Inn is undoubtedly one of the most romantic getaways in Oklahoma.
This 1890 grey stone structure has been updated and renovated to its present-day glory. During your stay, you can enjoy the daily gourmet breakfast, stroll along the on-site hiking trail, and simply relax on the covered back patio. But my favorite amenity is definitely the bottomless jar of homemade chocolate chip cookies.
And while you’ll likely want to enjoy the quiet for the entirety of your stay, you can also easily make the 10-minute drive into downtown Tulsa for a bit of excitement.

11. The Mayo Hotel in Tulsa
115 West 5th Street
Tulsa, OK 74103
Opened in 1925, The Mayo Hotel has become a landmark in Tulsa. And while the bones of the building have that historic charm, the hotel underwent a $42 million renovation in 2009 to incorporate some modern flair as well.
Then, there’s The Mayo Hotel’s thriving food scene. From early morning until late at night, you’ll always find a delicious food option on the premises. You can get a steaming cup of coffee from The Mark, savor delicious entrees from The Boiler Room, and enjoy the stunning views from the rooftop Penthouse Bar while sipping on a delightful cocktail.

The 21C Museum Hotel in Oklahoma City is one of the coolest places for a romantic getaway in Oklahoma, especially if you and your partner are art lovers.
This 135-room boutique hotel has loads of perks. You can get pampered at the spa, relax in the designer-planned rooms, and dine at the fantastic Mary Eddy’s Kitchen x Lounge.
But, the main highlight of this accommodation is the contemporary art museum. The two most eye-catching pieces of this museum are the sixteen-foot-tall Woozy Blossom and the breathtaking River of Time.
